Training Lasers Installed at Gigaphoton Kyushu Office

Gigaphoton Inc. (Head Office: Oyama, Tochigi; President and CEO: Tatsuo Enami), a manufacturer of lightsources for semiconductor lithography, announced that it has installed training lasers at its Kyushu office, with operations commencing in June 2026, further strengthening its customer support capabilities.

The recent growth in the semiconductor industry, driven by increasing AI demand, is fueling a rise in capital investment. Accordingly, the number of Gigaphoton lasers operating at customer sites will increase. Gigaphoton is strengthening its support capabilities by enhancing the training environment for Field Service Engineers (FSEs). Training lasers have been installed at the Kyushu office, with operations scheduled to begin in June 2026.

The Kyushu office has established a cleanroom capable of accommodating up to three training lasers. With this installation, FSE training capacity is enhanced, supporting faster skill development. It also enables Gigaphoton to provide training programs to customers in western Japan, thereby further strengthening collaboration.

Tatsuo Enami, President and CEO of Gigaphoton said, “To contribute to the continued growth and expansion of the semiconductor industry, Gigaphoton is enhancing its training capacity worldwide and strengthening its customer support. Gigaphoton is committed to maintaining strong relationships with its customers through open and valuable communication, and fulfilling its responsibilities to meet the growing demands of the semiconductor industry.”
