This commitment reflects a shared vision to support the Faculty of Dental Medicine and the training of the next generation of dentists. Dentalcorp’s contribution is part of the Université de Montréal’s major philanthropic campaign, Brave the way.

“We’ve built a network that attracts the best dentists. Staying there means being part of how the next generation is prepared,” said Nate Tchaplia, President of Dentalcorp. “Great clinical skills are the foundation. But the best careers in dentistry are built when you pair that with an understanding of how a practice runs, how to lead a team, and how to grow. This fund gives students access to scholarships, research opportunities, and entrepreneurship training so they graduate as stronger clinicians and complete professionals.”

The Dentalcorp Fund supports four initiatives: a Summer School in Entrepreneurship for 5th-year Doctor of Dental Medicine students, annual scholarships recognizing academic excellence and clinical research, the faculty’s annual Scientific Day, and oral-health research projects tied to clinical innovation and patient care. A laboratory for senior doctoral students will bear the name Dentalcorp Student Laboratory, a naming designation by the University in recognition of this significant contribution to the Faculty.

“Our dental medicine programs are built on rigorous, evidence-based clinical training designed to develop highly qualified health professionals,” said Hugo Ciaburro, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Université de Montréal. “But a career in dentistry also involves a management and entrepreneurship dimension that remains essential. As the profession evolves, these competencies need to keep pace with the needs of our future graduates. The Dentalcorp Fund significantly strengthens this component of our training by providing concrete tools. These initiatives enrich the preparation of future dentists for a complete and modern practice.”

More than 160 dentists who graduated from UdeM’s Faculty of Dental Medicine practice within Dentalcorp’s network. Dentalcorp offers dental professionals across the country a range of career paths, from associateships to partnerships, backed by a support system designed to remove the friction that slows clinical and commercial growth. The Dentalcorp Fund extends that commitment to the earliest stages of a dentist’s career, giving students the tools and exposure they need before they graduate.
