The MolinaCares Accord (“MolinaCares”), in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Mississippi (“Molina”), has committed $250,000 to the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi (CFNM) to tackle food insecurity in the Mississippi Delta.
Almost 1 in 5 Mississippians don’t have enough to eat. More than 1 in 4 children go hungry daily. That’s why CFNM is distributing the MolinaCares grant funding to organizations in the Delta that work to ensure those in need have access to fresh and nutritious food. Recently, a portion of the funds were used to provide 20,000 nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Mississippi Delta through the service of Extra Table.
“With support from organizations like MolinaCares, we can continue this vital work,” said Keith Fulcher, president of the CFNM. “With multiple organizations working together to address food insecurity, we can increase access to critical resources to improve the health and well-being of Mississippians across the state.”
Grant funding will also help organizations working to support their community through sustainable food systems like farmers’ markets, community gardens, mobile food markets, and more.

The grant to CFNM is the latest in a series of MolinaCares grants. The organization gave $250,000 consecutively in 2023, 2024, and 2025, as well as $50,000 in 2022, illustrating Molina’s commitment to expanding Mississippians’ access to healthy food.
