REXBURG, Idaho – Family First Dental wants Rexburg families to know that most dental benefits reset on January 1. Unused benefits are usually lost. To help, the practice is keeping Saturday and evening appointments open through December.
The office is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It also stays open until 7 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Fridays, the first appointments start at 7 a.m. That gives working parents and students a way to get in without missing work or school.
“We built our schedule around working families. Come in on a Saturday or after work, bring the kids, and get it all done in one trip before your benefits reset,” said Dr. Craig Stout, DDS, owner of Family First Dental.
Most dental plans come with a yearly maximum. If a patient hasn’t used it, that money doesn’t roll over. A cleaning or exam that’s been put off can often be covered before the year ends. The same goes for a filling or a crown. December books up fast, so the practice is asking patients to call now.
Family First Dental accepts Delta Dental, MetLife, Blue Cross, Guardian, GEHA, United Healthcare, and Principal. The team checks coverage before the appointment. Before any treatment starts, patients get a written estimate that lists each cost. No one is pushed to say yes the same day.
Families can book back-to-back appointments, so parents and kids can be seen in one trip. The practice sees children ages 4 and up. For patients without insurance, or for costs that go past a plan’s limit, payment plans are available through Cherry and WellCredit.
Dr. Craig Stout, DDS, has 20 years of experience. He looks for ways to save a tooth before suggesting an extraction. Patients see their own X-rays on a screen in the treatment room and decide what to do next.
